"I'm shocked, shocked to see gambling going on here!" was the unforgettable line by Claude Rains, at "Rick's."
His ironic comment has long been the butt of jokes around the world for official corruption.
This now-famous metaphor for head-in-the-sand attitudes has taken a new tack in the modern, post-war, politically correct world of our western culture when relating to the question of massive Muslim impact on host nations.
Like the debilitating effects of our head-long race to financial meltdown due to our unwillingness to deal with deficits, the issue of Muslim impact through population and political pressures that they exert is similarly rendered the last priority by government and communities.
However, as of late particular events are signaling a change. The question asked is: will it be soon enough, and will it be effective?
Expect a culture war to occur both in the US and Europe, pitting both sides against each other, with a violent end seemingly inevitable. On the sidelines will be a slew of lawyers, community "activists," and "civil rights" folks, all touting the right for Muslims to "peacefully," silently, and stealthily, take over, absorb, and eventually subvert their host countries. Here is a silent war (for now) at least in the US, where Americans are loathe to get involved. It's not as bad as England, goes the thinking, and so we've dropped our guard. White Christian girls have not yet to be raped in the US., armed uprisings have yet to be organized, and Americans have yet to be coerced through the sword of Islam.....SO FAR.
With a Muslim Commander in Chief, all branches of our military, legislature, and local governments beginning to be co-opted by supporters of Muslim Brotherhood, Cair, ISNA and other pro Muslim groups, to a more or lesser degree, the average American is completely dormant about the transformation of his country. Nowhere is there the leadership to deal with this issue! Whenever it is addressed, the race card is carefully played out, neutralizing opposition groups..
Like the belligerent cries heard that proposals for dealing with deficits and spending "is an attack on people of color," so too is the demons' ire aroused by the Machiavellian Jihad groups, quelling any serious debate in the public forum.
We are
in for a serious showdown...very soon. This country will not survive such
an onslaught of individuals, steal fully and methodically, working to
overturn our individual freedoms and rights to express ourselves.
At a recent speech I gave in Dearborn, Michigan, I was told I would need
to wear a bullet-proof vest when talking about the deleterious effects
of the "multiculturalists" and their minions in pandering to
radical Islam. Am I in America? Or is this some sort of yesterday's socialism
being forced down our throats? I watched as a Muslim chief of police (Dearborn)
did nothing to quell the insane, violent attempts to deny me and others
our freedom of speech. All this in America's heartland, not Fallujah or
Kabul....
Those who are keen observers are witnessing a breakdown of our central government, where "TEA BAGGERS" ARE THE THREAT TO OUR FREEDOM, NOT THE ISLAMIC HOLDOVERS FROM A THOUSAND YEARS PAST. Truly, we are entering an Orwellian era, where good is bad, and bad is good. Our politicians are playing right along, loathe to upset the gravy train applecart of their perks, benefits, and re-election bids.
We are entering in a critical period of American history, where men and women of good will are called upon, increasingly, to fill the void of sentinels of freedom and individual liberties. One has the feeling that were it not for the NRA and other guardians of freedom, we would have lost our country long ago.

America is one short step behind Europe. Patriots that truly care about America would do well to start organizing in earnest. The 2012 elections will be one of unprecedented union thuggery, corruption, with fine-tuned racial and class divisions played out for maximum political gain. Those patriots need to take the lead, articulate the issues and fundamental beliefs upon which we can sustain this greatest experiment in democracy and freedom that the world has ever seen. Anything less than huge efforts for our survival, will not be sufficient.
My candidacy for US Senate will have one theme: WHAT IS GOOD FOR ALL AMERICANS, AND ENSURING OUR COUNTRY'S SURVIVAL. I hope I will have your support.

Rabbi Shifren is a southern California native. He graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Spanish and German literature. He has been a language teacher in LA City schools since 1992. He is also fluent in Hebrew.
