PART 9

"Can we regain our country and our freedom? The answer is, only if we can bear the truth that our forefathers knew and took for granted. If the generation of 100 years ago could come back today they would be appalled at the thinking of Americans today. They would think, surely we have been occupied by a foreign power. They would be right. We have been occupied, but not by a military power. We have succumbed to a long period of 'public education' and 'freedom of religion' which has turned Americans into zombies incapable of rational thought and choice. Even worse, we are traitors to our country and to ourselves." ~The Don Bell Report

Heritage Foundation and Edwin Feulner

CNP charter member Ed Feulner took over the Heritage Foundation leadership with a nomination from Richard Mellon Scaife, who sits on the board as Vice Chairman. Dr. Feulner served as President of Heritage from 1977 to 2013. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Elmhurst. After receiving an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business in 1964, he attended the Jesuit founded, Georgetown University and the London School of Economics, where he was a Richard M. Weaver Fellow. (Weaver was allegedly a member of the Fabian Socialist Americans for Democratic Action. However, unlike today's neo-conservatives, he valued personal property rights to the point of agrarianism, yet believed in a form of communitarianism.) Feulner then earned a doctorate at the University of Edinburgh.

Let's take a look at Feulner's early education to see what kind of ideas may have been formed in his youth. The London School of Economics dates from 1895, when the School was founded by Fabian Socialist Society members Sidney and Beatrice Webb, Graham Wallas, and George Bernard Shaw, (a devout supporter of Joseph Stalin), with funding provided by private philanthropy, including a bequest of £20,000 from Henry Hunt Hutchinson to the Fabian Society, whose wife was a Fabian member.

Co-founder of the London School of Economics, Sidney Webb, was a British socialist, economist, and reformer. He was one of the early members of the Fabian Society in 1884, along with fellow communist, George Bernard Shaw (they joined three months after its inception). With his wife, Beatrice Webb, and fellow socialists, Annie Besant, Graham Wallas, Edward R. Pease, Hubert Bland, and Sydney Olivier, Shaw and Webb turned the Fabian Society into the pre-eminent political-intellectual society of England in the Edwardian era and beyond.

Of special interest is occult leader, Annie Besant who was a leading speaker for the Fabian Society and the Marxist Social Democratic Federation (SDF). In 1890, Besant met Helena Blavatsky, and over the next few years her interest in theosophy grew while her interest in secular matters waned. She became a member of the Theosophical Society and a prominent lecturer on the subject. In 1907 she became president of the Theosophical Society.

This is the educational background Feulner came from prior to going to Washington DC and into the neo-conservative politics of the right. Gives a bit different perspective on the man, doesn't it?

Feulner began his Washington career as analyst for the Center for Strategic and International Studies, then called the Center for Strategic Studies. He later became a congressional aide to congressman (and later Secretary of Defense) Melvin Laird. Feulner subsequently became a long-serving executive assistant to Illinois Republican congressman Phil Crane. (I remember Crane well, so many conservatives were backing him and promoting him, yet the "false friends" had already targeted and partially neutralized him). Prior to becoming the President of the Heritage Foundation, Feulner was the Executive Director of the Republican Study Committee.

Let's take a look at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) so as to understand how the left and right work together, and the training Feulner received from them. The center hosts the Statesmen's Forum, a bipartisan venue for international leaders to present their views. Past speakers have included UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon and National Security Advisor Tom Donilon.

The CSIS Chairman of the Board of Trustees is Sam Nunn, a former Democratic Senator from Georgia and longtime chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Armed Services. Former U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense John J. Hamre has been the president and chief executive officer of CSIS since April 2000.

The board of trustees includes many former senior government officials including Soviet agent, Henry Kissinger, Zbigniew Brzezinski, William Cohen, George Argyros and Brent Scowcroft. The board also includes major corporate business leaders as well as prominent figures in the fields of finance, private equity, real estate, academia and media.

CSIS has broadened its reach into public policy analysis under the leadership of Hamre and Nunn. The Department of Defense, as part of the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act, that's NDAA folks, commissioned CSIS to conduct an independent assessment of U.S. interests in the Asia-Pacific Region. Also, in May 2009, President Barack Obama thanked the CSIS bipartisan Commission on Cyber security for its help in developing the Obama administration's policies on cyber warfare. The center has also been highly influential in the creation of the White House's foreign policy. The first professional staff member hired was Richard V. Allen who later served in the Reagan administration. Allen was a Heritage fellow when he helped draft NAFTA and promote it through Heritage Foundation. The big goodbye to American jobs!

In 2012, CSIS hosted U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as she delivered a keynote address on "U.S. Strategic Engagement with North Africa in an Era of Change," that addressed the security of embassies in the wake of the 2012 Benghazi attack.

There was also a strong connection between Heritage and the Rev. Sun Myung Moon (founder of the "Moonies" as well as of the Washington Times). This first appeared in a 1975 congressional investigation on the Korean Central Intelligence Agency (KCIA) activities in the US. The report noted, "In 1975, Ed Feulner was introduced to KCIA station chief Kim Yung." Salonen was head of Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church in the United States. The Freedom Leadership Foundation (FLF), a political arm of Moon's Unification network, was linked to the World Anti-Communist League. Here is a short list of the Unification Church's front groups, (note the UN-nongovernmental organization list). In the early 1980s, the KCIA began making donations to Heritage Foundation. In turn, Heritage established an Asian Studies Center.

Feulner was treasurer of the Mont Pelerin Society, an international organization of economists whose members included Henry Hazlitt (author of "A New Constitution Now"), and William F. Buckley, CFR, CIA, and Skull and Bonesman. (Do yourselves a favor and purchase John McManus's book, William F.Buckley, Pied Piper for the Establishment.) Hazlitt's book is extremely dangerous inasmuch as Hazlitt states things like, "an amendment could be proposed that would strike out everything after "We the people," and that, of course, includes the Bill of Rights. He was suggesting that everything after "We the people" on down be scrapped and rewritten, which is amazing, as this document has provided more human dignity and freedom for more people than any other in recorded history. He also stated, "When I wrote A New Constitution Now I was sure, as I still am, that parliamentary government tends to be a better form of government than our own presidential system." He and Paul Weyrich would agree. We would likely end up with this proposed Constitution for the New States of America.

Here is a list of the prominent Mont Pelerin Society members. Other prominent MPS members who advanced to policy positions included the late Chancellor Ludwig Erhard of West Germany, President Luigi Einaudi of Italy, Chairman Arthur F. Burns of the U.S. Federal Reserve Board and U.S. Secretary of State George Shultz.

Edwin Feulner is also a member of the Board of the NWO promoting National Chamber Foundation. [Link] He is a longtime officer and director of three grant-making foundations: the Sarah Scaife Foundation (Richard Mellon Scaife's Foundation), the Aequus Institute (headed by Larry Arnn of Hillsdale College who is promoting charters/vouchers/choice, and is on the board of Heritage Foundation) and the Thomas A. Roe Foundation, charter member of the CNP, as well as Heritage Foundation, Mont Pelerin Society, etc.

Feulner is the former President of the Philadelphia Society, and past Director of the Sequoia Bank, the Council for National Policy, the Acton Institute, the International Republican Institute (which has been chaired by John McCain), the American Council in Germany, the Lehrman Institute and George Mason University.

He served as a member of the Gingrich-Mitchell Congressional U.N. Reform Task Force (2005) and on the Congressional Commission on International Financial Institutions ("Meltzer Commission") from 1999-2000. Here is a list of those who served on the U.N. Reform Task Force. Newt Gingrich has been a Heidi and Alvin Toffler Third Waver since the 70s. He believes the Constitution is outdated and there should be no private property rights. [Link]

Edwin Feulner was the Vice Chairman of the National Commission on Economic Growth and Tax Reform ("Kemp Commission") from 1995-1996. He also was Chairman of the bipartisan U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy (1982-91), served as the Public Member (Ambassador) of the U.S. Delegation to the United Nations Second Special Session on Disarmament in New York, and a consultant for domestic policy to President Reagan, and an adviser to several government departments and agencies.

The United Nations Office of Disarmament Affairs comprises several administrative offices and five branches: Conference on Disarmament Secretariat and Conference Support Branch(Geneva), Weapons of Mass Destruction Branch (WMD), Conventional Arms (including Practical Disarmament) Branch (CAB), Regional Disarmament Branch (RDB) and Information and Outreach Branch (IOB). RDB further manages three regional centers.

Branches and centers are organized as follows:

Edwin J. Feulner had a yearly income, including deferred compensation, of $1,098,612. Here is the 2012-990 for Heritage Foundation. The $25 dollars per month, which Heritage collects from grassroots members, goes to funding the salaries of their President and other notable members like Edwin Meese, the latter who collects half a million per year.

When Feulner recently retired, former neo-con Senator Jim DeMint replaced him as president. In Part 10, we'll look at the new President of Heritage and the CNP's propensity for Dominionists within their membership.
