Araprosdokians are figures of speech in which the latter of a sentence or phrase is surprising or unexpected; frequently humorous. Example: “Where there’s a will, I want to be in it” or “You’re never too old to learn something stupid” and “Nostalgia isn’t what it used to be.” I especially liked “To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism. To steal from many is research.” To save your rush to the dictionary and if my bifocals don’t fail me, ; it’s the language of members of the Plains Indian people residents on the upper drainages of the Platte and Arkansas rivers in the mid 19th century; surviving groups in Wyoming and Oklahoma. The Algonquian language or languages of the Arapaho and my source tells me Winston Churchill loved them.
CHILDREN ONCE APPEARED ANGELIC AND PURE OF HEART
So, let’s be honest. Everyone who shares his or her opinions can generally rely on the research of others who have gone before them so is the case of Samuel Blumenfield in his 1981 book IS PUBLIC EDUCATION NECESSARY? He tells how in the early 1800s, man was innately good, rational, benevolent, and cooperative having been subjected to the Puritans and their Calvinistic teachings. Even children appeared angelic and pure of heart. Hillsdale College president Larry P. Arnn reminds us the Bible tells us to “raise up a child in the way he should go” but after 14 years as president, he figures he’s an expert on young people between 18 and 22 and he says if he asks a young person today which way is the right way to go, more often than not he or she will answer: “It depends on which way you want to go.”
For years the progressive experiments of the John Dewey education system with Robert Owen, his mentor, encouraged free speech and dissent. As a result, today we have rioting and cities burning across America primarily controlled by Democrats and we have the mother of the year with six children running after and disregarding the child abuse laws slapping her only teenage son when she discovered he was one of the rioters in Baltimore. Hopefully, soon other mothers will follow.

With the Baltimore riots in mind, a little obscure Oroville, California newsletter called HEADS UP turned up in my files with an article entitled: LOS ANGELES NEGROES PROSPER. Just before the Watts insurrection, August 9, 1965, a Broadcasting magazine, which is recognized as the business weekly of television and radio published an article resulting from an intensive survey they conducted about the social and economic status of the Negro population in Los Angeles area. The results of this study revealed a community of Negroes enjoying a relatively high standard of living, rather than one of poverty, poor housing, hunger, etc. The survey exposed the lie of “poverty” being the cause of the insurrection in Watts. The motto for HEADS UP was “Dedicated to Fight Communism.” These riots have never been about racism, they’ve been about revolution. As I am drafting this article on May 1st- May Day, Communists, socialists, anarchists are gathering in Democrat-controlled cities across the U.S., and law enforcement is standing by to see what may be coming since the six police people (three black and three white) have been arrested for the death of a black man.
CAPITALISM AND RELIGION CAUSES MISERY FOR MAN
An Englishman by the name of Robert Owen, who would someday become known as the father of modern socialism, had gained a widespread fame by establishing a model community for his workers and a special school for their children at his spinning mills at New Lanark, Scotland. He was born in 1771, a self-made social reformer of little formal education who became an atheist at the age of 10 and worked out in his own mind a creed concerning the nature of man and the causes of his misery, which he preached tirelessly from about 1813 to the day of his death in 1858. He believed man was not responsible for his own Character and that it was given to him by the society in which he lived and he blamed capitalism and religion created a competitive irrational environment that made men EVIL…so the cure, a better education system. Owen set about to use extraordinary powers by the state to coerce unwilling and negligent parents to have their children educated. His Institution for the Formation of Character was opened on January 1, 1816 and its curriculum bore a striking resemblance to what John Dewey and other progressive educators would be doing 80 years later and from this, our Compulsory Education laws were eventually enacted. Owen said there was a limit to what could be done with adults whose characters were already formed so education must start with children and he preached that the children had to be separated from their parents as early as possible so that their character could be molded by their educators.
MAN NEED THE RIGHT EDUCATION FOR SALVATION
Yes, man did have his faults, but he was eminently perfectible and all he really needed to be saved from his negative impulses was the right education. Education became the road to salvation and as a result, public education began to come in existence, Christianity was outlawed, the U.S. Supreme Court identified secular humanism as a religion in its 1961 Torcaso vs. Watkins decision and later the 1973 Roe –vs- Wade decision allowed babies to be killed. And the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in 2005 that atheism is also a religion and today we are reaping the consequences of these worldviews on a collision course as the U.S. Supreme Court now will consider by June whether same-sex marriage should be federalized which could mean churches who refuse to marry two people of the same sex will be fined the way the Oregon baker was fined $136,000 for refusing to bake a wedding cake for a same-sex marriage. Or, will Christian ministers simply refuse to accommodate marriages and send the couples to the Justice of Peace in their county?
SATAN STARTED PROCESS OF CONDITIONING HUMANITY
With the absence of Christian values in the public schools, it has been easy to teach the children about “tolerance of sin.” Afterall, the National Education Association supported Pavlov “sensitivity training” and sex education long planned by UNESCO. It’s been common knowledge Christian parents in communist countries have had to re-program their children after they get home from school; however, many children don’t tell their parents what has gone on in the classrooms so trusting American parents never know. They could only pull this off if the mothers, once the watchdogs, were convinced they needed to go to work.
Once the child’s mind has been re-programmed to accept a certain gender, they begin to think maybe, just maybe, they aren’t the gender they thought they were so “presstitutes” like ABC’s Diane Sawyer, who earns $22 million a year, in an orchestrated attempt to promote sex changes are called upon to interview celebrities like Bruce Jenner. Let’s be honest. We can tell a little boy to bark and act like a dog and he’ll comply, we laugh approval and he does it again. Children have big imaginations. Little girls were once attracted to dolls and they played house. They go through phases but generally outgrow them unless perverts like Jenner come along on the family television set to plant doubts in their minds. This is not new. Satan started the process of conditioning humanity when he entered into conversation with Eve, persuading her to turn from God’s truth to her own subjective evaluation of what she “felt” he had said. (Gen. 3:1-6) And most Americans do not separate reporters’ opinions from factual news coverage so they are completely misled. Furthermore, it is difficult for them to believe that the great news media, once known for its crusades in behalf of truth and integrity could not have been turned into a propaganda machine giving them confusing half truths and distortions.
AMERICA’S GREATEST THREAT
Pastor Chuck Baldwin nailed it when he said it isn’t illegal immigration, the Muslims, homosexual marriage, ISIS but GOD who is America’s greatest threat. Unitarianism required nothing less than a new concept of god, if not the creation of a new God. All of this was quite well understood by the New England Calvinists who watched Unitarianism grow within their midst with no small alarm. Unitarianism had come to England, mainly through the teachings of Socinus, in the middle 1600s. It crossed the Atlantic and gained a foothold at Harvard College where the first “liberal” president was elected in 1707. The election was the beginning of a century-long struggle between Orthodox Calvinists and religious liberals for control of Harvard. Unitarians strongly favored public education. It is ironic, said Blumenfeld, that Unitarianism, the heresy that Calvin considered to be the most dangerous, should have arisen in the heart of the Puritan commonwealth. But it was clearly a reaction against the Calvinist worldview, with its pessimistic evolution of human nature; its awesome, omnipotent God, more to be feared than loved, its doctrine of salvation… Unitarianism first arose in Europe as a rebellion against the orthodox doctrine of the Trinity and it specifically denied the divinity of Christ.
EDUCATED PEOPLE CAUSING TOTALITARIAN CONTROL
This, of course, to born-again Christians (John 3:3) again is another oxymoron because the New Testament doesn’t paint a very favorable picture of civilization without recognizing Jesus as the Savior of a fallen world which brings us to our current worldly chaos caused by our elected officials stepping out of the will of our Constitutional Republic. Robert Dilley in his 1962 book MESSAGE FOR AMERICA said many educated people are rendering the greatest service knowingly or unknowingly to those that will place every individual in the world under the same totalitarian control that is found in Communist Nations today and when we read the 45 declared goals for the Communist Takeover of America we see their agenda nearly fulfilled. One of the most recent in the news is Goal 26- Presenting homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.” Other goals: #28, eliminate any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.” #32 Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture – education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc. #41 Emphasize the need to raise children way from the negative influence of parents so mothers went to work. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents and the socialist State of Oregon was initially chosen to help implement these goals.
INTELLECTUAL EROSION- A SIN PROBLEM
However, when I endeavor to be an equal opportunity critic, I have to question what is responsible for some departing from the faith? Is it because they had become better educated, more intellectual? Is it because of scientific developments and increased knowledge which reveals that the faith can no longer be held? Is it because pastors cherry pick sermons and avoid the tough subjects? One college-educated person of Catholic faith indicated to me as civilization “evolved,” and more experimental testing and surveys were done, they’ve discovered that homosexuals are born that way but Paul says “some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits,” which actually means wandering, roving, and it comes from the word vagabond or deceiver or seducer. (I Tim. 4:1) In fact, Satan is all those things. They shall give heed to satanic spirits- Doctrines of Devils.
WHY GOD HAS BLESSED AMERICA
The American people, strongly Christian in moral beliefs, had waged a successful war of independence and had created the best of all possible governments in the best of all people worlds, said Samuel Blumenfeld. Science was achieving great things in human knowledge, and mankind was on the threshold of the industrial era. People were freeing themselves from political tyranny but it wasn’t long before heretical teachings entered education. There were no limits to the good that man could continue to achieve with the guidance of education that changed values, attitudes and beliefs of our children. Today we see the result of that false teaching. People don’t have an intellectual problem, they have a SIN problem (Heb. 3:13)
