As we expected, the Democrats have begun their gun control BS again. As usual, they are blaming the gun and law-abiding gun owners. Hillary Clinton has already used Twitter to attack the National Rifle Association because they are trying to make silencers legal. How that plays into this is not quite fully understandable but that’s the logic of the progressives.
The most important factor in this horrible situation that is being ignored is it isn’t a gun issue, it’s a heart issue. We have had eight years of pushing anarchy by the Obama administration, 60 years of keeping God out of the public arena and liberals are dumfounded as to how this can happen. They must blame someone so law abiding conservatives get the blame even though it has almost always been left wing democrats that have perpetrated these mass shootings.
Even our media can only see one side. They accuse the conservatives of being heartless but, as usual, it is the left that exhibits heartlessness. CBS has parted ways with one of the company’s top lawyers after she said she is “not even sympathetic” to victims of the Las Vegas shooting because “country music fans often are Republican,” when discussing the tragic mass shooting that occurred in Las Vegas late Sunday night. “This individual, who was with us for approximately one year, violated the standards of our company and is no longer an employee of CBS. Her views as expressed on social media are deeply unacceptable to all of us at CBS. Our hearts go out to the victims in Las Vegas and their families,” a CBS spokeswoman told Fox News.
Hayley Geftman-Gold, the network’s now-former vice president and senior counsel, took to Facebook after a gunman opened fire at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas, killing at least 58 people and sending more than 500 others to hospitals.
“If they wouldn’t do anything when children were murdered I have no hope that Repugs [sic] will ever do the right thing,” Geftman-Gold wrote in a now-deleted message that was first reported and captured by The Daily Caller.[1]
You must really question the character of a person that has no feelings for innocent people that are murdered in cold blood for no other reason than they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Liberals, as I stated earlier, always want to blame the gun but there is a pattern that they ALWAYS ignore, the Las Vegas shooter was a registered Democrat, protested against Trump in Reno in August 2017,[2] the Orlando shooter was a registered Democrat as was the Charleston Church shooter, Ft. Hood shooter, Virginia Teck shooter, Colorado Theater shooter, Connecticut school shooter and Congresswoman Giffords’ shooter. This evidence indicates that it isn’t a gun problem but a party ideology problem. When you study this out, as I have, you’ll find that every time something of this nature happens the progressives, liberals or Democrats, whatever they are calling themselves this week, always try to make it harder for law abiding citizens to get gun to be able to protect themselves and their families and ignore the fact that criminals don’t obey any gun laws and never have so making more won’t do any good. But intelligent people know that they are after total control anyway.
Other facts that the left ignores is the history of mass shootings in America. They keep wanting more and more ‘gun free zones’ ignoring the fact that these mass shooters seem to pic these locations because law abiding citizens won’t have guns to shoot back thus increasing the amount of carnage they can create. Dan Patrick of Texas hinted he’d like to ease access to guns, then lofted a historical claim making us wonder.
The Republican lieutenant governor appeared on NBC’s Jan. 3, 2016 edition of Meet the Press as the Texas law permitting licensed individuals to openly carry holstered handguns took effect. Patrick told host Chuck Todd he wants to see a day “when every American citizen can simply have a gun, does not have to go through a long ordeal or pay a high price. We’re going to address that in Texas, as well. Because it’s the right of every individual under the Second Amendment.”
Then came the historical note: “Having law-abiding citizens having guns is a good thing,” Patrick said. “In fact, Chuck, every one of the mass shootings except two in America since 1950 have been” in “gun-free zones,” his implication being that wrongdoers don’t open fire in places where permitted citizens may have loaded handguns.[3]
We will see them put forth a bevy of purposed laws making it harder and harder for citizens to be able to protect themselves and nothing to keep guns out of the hands of those who wish to do others harm. This will be for two reasons, the left’s ongoing demand for complete control of the people and their willingness to ignore all the facts that point towards an armed populace having less gun violence because the criminal won’t know if any of his victims or bystanders might be armed.
It is my understanding that the gun Paddock used is illegal in Nevada. If it was illegal then there was a law against having it. Just what will more laws do? How will that keep an illegal gun out of the hands of a criminal that ignores the laws anyhow? There doesn’t seem to be anything, at least at this point, that gave an indication that he would go off the deep end as he has done. This is the price for living in an open society. No society is or ever will be 100% safe. The hatred we see displayed has become a culture thing that has degraded into vile hatred from the left. Another Tweet done by a Greg Morelli, owner of Max’s Deli in Highland Park, IL said “Soon as I heard it was country music, I felt relief. White people shooting white people isn’t terror. . . it’s community outreach.” An Ann #TheResistance Tweeted “Lots of white trump supporters in Vegas at route 21 Watching Jason Aldean. Pray only trumptards died!”
Is this where we have gotten to as a society? Our colleges and universities, once places of higher education, now teach that America is the cause of all the world’s problems. They actually teach a hatred of America: A professor from Ithaca College in New York argues that the song “God Bless America” should not be played at sporting events because it is a “warmongering song.”
Professor Stephen Mosher, who teaches in the Department of Communications Studies, wrote an op-ed for The Ithacan titled “Sporting events don’t need national anthem,” in which he complains that after the events of September 11, 2001, “expressions of hyper-patriotism took hold,” including the “warmongering song ‘God Bless America’” becoming our second, unofficial anthem.[4]
We must stop this slide down the road to anarchy. We are here because we have become uninvolved with our society. Too many people are only concerned about themselves without regard as to what the rest of society is doing. As long as it doesn’t bother them other people can do whatever they want. But they don’t realize that everything in one way or another affects everyone. Homosexuals demanded that they be accepted as a viable lifestyle but now people are trying to legitimize polygamy and even bestiality while at the same time trying to silence the Christian voice. Society must have a foundation and that foundation must be grounded on moral behavior. The Founders understood that and that is why they used Christian principles as that foundation. George Washington stated: “I now make it my earnest prayer, that God would have you, and the State over which you preside, in his holy protection, that he would incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government, to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another, for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field, and finally, that he would most graciously be pleased to dispose us all, to do Justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility and pacific temper of mind, which were the Characteristicks of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without an humble imitation of whose example in these things, we can never hope to be a happy Nation.”
That is not a popular statement but it is a true statement. We either embrace it or we die as the former greatest nation the world has ever seen.
