This election seems to have put Christians in a tizzy because of the candidates that are now the nominees. It really isn’t different that the last General Election in 2012. One candidate was a muslim supporting, anti-American, anti-traditional marriage, homosexual supporting, Israel hating, abortion supporting liberal and the other candidate was a Morman who supports traditional marriage, anti-abortion, loves America, is anti-homosexual marriage but Christians, to the tune of over 40 million, refused to vote for a Mormon effectively voting for the man that was against everything a Christian is supposed to support. Their pathetic excuse was they couldn’t vote for the lesser of two evils. Think about that for a minute. When have we had anything BUT the lesser of two evils to vote for? Other than never, I can’t think of any election where that was the only choice.

When evaluating a candidate we need to look not just at the candidate but that candidate’s Party platform. In 2012the Democratic platform originally eliminated all mention of God and Israel. When, at the convention, when a vote was taken to put a mention of God back into their platform, they booed God.[1]

Looking at the rest of the platform the Democrats embraced homosexual marriage, abortion at any time for any reason, not real Israel friendly, anti-military and everything else anti-American. Yet with all the evidence pointing toward one of the most ungodly platforms in American history 42% of Protestants voted for Obama, 30% of white Protestants voted for Obama, black Protestant voters were at 90%, 50% of Catholics voted for Obama with 75% of Hispanic Catholics voting for Obama, 69% of Jewish voters went with Obama and even 21% of Mormons voted for Obama.[2]

The big question here is why did all these supposedly religious people totally ignore God’s mandate of putting godly men in places of authority, Exodus 18:21? There wasn’t even an excuse in 2008 for a Christian to vote for Obama because all this information was out there available to anyone. Media didn’t talk about it because Obama was their man so they wouldn’t expose any of his negative points. This is the point I’m attempting to make, the church has failed this nation for the last few decades in putting men and women of godly character into places of authority.

How did this happen? The church used to play a big role in the political arena from well before the Revolutionary War all the way up to 1954. That is when what is called the Johnson Gag Order was passed. This bill sponsored by Lyndon Baines Johnson effectively took the church out of the political arena a place where the church is supposed to be very involved. At that time the church complained a little but did nothing to fight the unconstitutional law. Now we have had sixty two years of silence from the pulpits of America.
The results of this silence are many fold. Reverend Charles Finney, the leader of the Second Great Awakening, stated: “If there is a decay of conscience, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the public press lacks moral discernment, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the church is degenerate and worldly, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the world loses its interest in Christianity, the pulpit is responsible for it. If satan rules in our halls of legislation, the pulpit is responsible for it. If our politics become so corrupt that the very foundations of our government are ready to fall away, the pulpit is responsible for it.” We have seen ALL of this come to pass because the pulpit allowed itself to be silenced in the nation founded on the principles that the pulpit is supposed to preach.

If you can’t support the person then look at the platform of the party that they represent. Today as in times past God will bring a Word to His people through one of His prophets and a few years back this was brought forth by one of those prophets; “Tell my people wherever you go—those who vote for politicians, knowing their immoral policies and platforms and illegal acts, had better repent. They are partners with those politicians and will be held responsible for every baby’s death. And, you can’t get out of it by not voting. I’ll hold you responsible for voting for the wrong one if you do that.” Notice that He said that not voting will make you guilty of voting for the wrong one. This, to me, only makes sense because a non vote is nothing more than a vote for a third party candidate that has no chance of winning. It is a wasted vote because it takes away from the one that the Christian should have voted for.

When looking at the Democrat platform for 2016 we see that the Democrats will continue to ‘redistribute the wealth’ by taxing the wealthy even more so that they pay their ‘fair share’. The top 5% on income earners already pay 90% of the taxes while 48% pay no taxes at all. Who is really not paying their fair share? On page 10 of the Democrat Platform they state: “Supporting America’s

Small Businesses: The Democratic Party will make it easier to start and grow a small business in America, unlike Donald Trump, who has often stiffed small businesses—nearly bankrupting some—with his deceptive and reckless corporate practices. By supporting small business and entrepreneurship, we can grow jobs faster in America. We will cut the red tape that holds back small businesses and entrepreneurs. We will open up access to credit because we know that small businesses are some of the best job creators in our country. We will provide tax relief and tax simplification.” This is such a joke it is hard to not laugh while reading it. First of all the accusations against Trump are 100% unfounded and unsupportable. They are hoping that their uninformed voters won’t really research this. Secondly they state that they will “cut the red tape that holds back small businesses”. This is funny because it was the Democrats that put all that red tape there in the first place. I firmly believe that it is talk only and they have no intention of removing all the red tape.

Democrats will always say what you want to hear and then never do what they say. Also notice that it says: “We will open up access to credit because we know that small businesses are some of the best job creators in our country.” This comes from the same person that stated and I paraphrase: Don’t let them (Republicans) fool you, small businesses don’t create jobs.

On page 11 of their platform it gets even funnier. They state: “Reining in Wall Street and Fixing our Financial System To restore economic fairness, Democrats will fight against the greed and recklessness of Wall Street. Wall Street cannot be an island unto itself, gambling trillions in risky financial instruments and making huge profits, all the while thinking that taxpayers will be there to bail them out again. We must tackle dangerous risks in big banks and elsewhere in the financial system. We must make Wall Street work for the job-creating, productive economy—including by making loans more affordable for small- and medium-sized businesses.” This promise comes from the woman whose top donors are Wall Street firms including the international dirt bag George Soros.[3]

Democrats are so generous they’ll give you the shirt off my back. They are very generous with other people’s money. In many cases they actually believe that your money is theirs. In the case of what is called the Death Tax they actually believe that because the sons and daughters of a wealthy man didn’t work for the wealth the father amassed that they don’t deserve it.

But they believe that the government does even though the government didn’t work for it either. They can’t wrap their head around the fact that if you work harder than your neighbor you will earn more than he will. They call it income inequality when in reality it is effort inequality. On page fourteen of their platform it states: “Making the Wealthy Pay Their Fair Share of Taxes: At a time of massive income and wealth inequality, we believe the wealthiest Americans and largest corporations must pay their fair share of taxes.

Democrats will claw back tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas, eliminate tax breaks for big oil and gas companies, and crack down on inversions and other methods companies use to dodge their tax responsibilities. We will make sure that our tax code rewards businesses that make investments and provide good-paying jobs here in the United States, not businesses that walk out on America.” A person that takes the risks, invests his money and time should be the one who makes the most money. The big difference is the Democrats want the results to be equal when the Republicans want the opportunity to be equal. The Democrats have made reference to the amount of money oil companies make but they never let it be known that the taxes per gallon of gas that goes to the government is actually more than the oil company gets for a gallon of oil.
