Part 2: It takes years to tear a country down. But once you move over the failsafe point, the decline accelerates.
As you can imagine, some very compelling letters arrived after “How to Destroy America” published this week. The one that grabbed my attention arrived from the Middle East. Yes, an American living in the heart of the beast. He gave me full permission to share his thoughts.
“I read your article today on how to destroy America, and I wanted to comment,” he said. “Below is a Paul Harvey clip from 1965 that illuminates the problem and illustrates how helplessly we have followed the path to destruction. The base problem confronting the West is the same problem that every dominant civilization has confronted throughout human history: success. It has been shown that hard times breed strong men, good times breed weak men, weak men bring bad times, and bad times breed strong men. No civilization so far has found a way around this fundamental truth. This inevitable process can occasionally be disrupted and slowed but never stopped entirely.”
Today, we see guys pretending to be girls. They’re giving psychologists headaches trying to figure out what kind of mental illness to categorize them. We’ve got “gays” parading around like crazy people wearing absurd outfits and performing sickening acts of decadence. Morality, children, ethics and rational behavior be damned! Anyone want them in uniform defending our country?
“America stayed pretty close to the soil for more than 150 years because the land was so huge and the taming of that territory required guts, determination, and persistence,” he said. “Starting in the early 20th Century, the US began to become predominantly urban, and the degeneration accelerated. Jefferson said
“When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe.” When a population ceases to work with their hands and works only with their intellect, they become soft. This is why I have profound mistrust of intellectuals, defined as people who produce nothing but ideas and pay no price if they are wrong.”
As we watch the national scene, we’re no longer close to the earth in our work or play. We live in concrete jungles with steel, glass and pavement. We’re separated from our roots. Look at the use of drugs, cell phones and social media to distract our young.
“I have been in this part of the world for 43 years,” he said. “I have done a lot of business with Europe, and my main observation is that Europeans are almost universally cowards. After the privations of WWII, all they wanted was to be taken care of. They do not have a tradition of personal independence and personal responsibility. Centuries of monarchs have reduced them to subjects. I was at lunch recently with my brother-in-law, who is a Brit, and a close friend who is Turkish. In our discussion, I mentioned that the Founders’ concept that ultimate sovereignty resided in the individual and not the government was reflected in the Constitution, which governs us (or at least should).
“The Constitution reflects a deep distrust of government and was a sincere effort to limit government to the extent that it would not be an interference in the lives of citizens, as the King’s dictates had been for so long. Unfortunately, over time, the lack of public vigilance has allowed the government in America to grow and possess enormous power. It is my hope that Trump can succeed in the destruction of the deep state and the entrenched bureaucracy. I am encouraged so far, but it is not enough.”
As his term advances, I would like to see..
♦ Outlawing ALL public sector unions. Collective bargaining has no place in the public sector. One works as a public servant for some altruistic reasons. If the compensation is not sufficient, go to the private sector. Trump is making some moves on this at the Federal level, but it needs to be universal.
♦ Trump must insist on term limits. This will be a struggle but he should explore the possibility of not letting Congress recess until legislation is passed requiring term limits and denying any sitting member of the legislature from receiving a pay raise that they voted on.
♦ The administration, in cooperation with the Supreme Court, should have an open and honest reappraisal of the Enumerated Powers outlined in the Constitution, and move to reverse all Federal involvement in areas beyond those powers.
♦ The administration should bring perjury charges against all sitting and past members of the legislature who voted for acts of Congress in excess of these powers.
♦ The administration should investigate and prosecute all members of the legislature who profited due to inside information or conflict of interest. Musk says he will address this issue.
♦ Laws must be passed stripping the Civil Service of ALL career opportunities. We do not need a professional bureaucracy. It has proven to be very dangerous and uncontrollable.
♦ The administration needs to repeal the 16th and 17th Amendments and the Federal Reserve Act. Wipe 1913 (a year that lives in infamy) out of our history. Before income tax, the government did not possess huge funds to pass out flagrantly. Look at all the nonsense DOGE has uncovered. How did the federal government get itself involved in huge grants to private universities??? Obviously that whole issue needs to be studied carefully, but if some form of income tax is still needed once all of this waste is permanently stricken, a flat tax system could be instituted and the IRS dissolved.
♦ Trump should withdraw the US from the UN and deport all UN Personnel. There are better uses for the UN Building than sedition against the US.
“The problem of Islam is a difficult one,” he said. “Western populations clutch their pearls at any attempt to interfere with religious freedom. They do this mostly because they are abysmally ignorant of history. Christianity has been at war with Islam for centuries. Because Islam has been backward for the last 300 years, we have been able to subdue them and dominate. What people are so ignorant about is that the Quran instructs the faithful that when they are in a weak position, they should be meek and subservient until they achieve an advantage, at which time they should strike aggressively to conquer the infidel. If you inform people about this, they will not believe what it said. It is too frightening and if believed would require action, which in turn requires courage which does not exist.
“At some point the West must recognize the fact that Islam is not really a religion, it is a fascist ideology, and it must be confronted with that in mind. I live in a Muslim country. My family are secular Muslims, but they know less about Islam than I do. They also refuse to face the truth about Islam and refuse to even address fundamental issues in the Quran such as abrogation. I have discussed the problem with family and friends many time and they know that the good guys within Islam are losing the battle with the Islamists, but they are completely helpless.
“The reason that they are helpless is that in the strict reading of the Quran, the Islamists are in the right. The Quran really does instruct the faithful to spread the word by the sword and slaughter all opposition. That is why it is suicidal for Islamists to be accepted in the West. Europe is approaching a saturation point and unimaginable violence is on the horizon. And yet, they are still too cowardly to face the bald fact. They are too lazy to have kids, and too spoiled to work hard, so they have become dependent on the Islamic workers for labor. God help them. In my view, eventually we will either exclude practicing Muslims or be faced with the same problem.”
This quote says it all: “Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Quran should be the highest authority in America. And Islam the only religion on earth.” Omar Ahmad, Director of Council on American Islam Relations.
And THAT fellow American shows you what we face as a culture, language and freedom-loving way of life. When it comes to Islam, they only work with absolutes. “Convert or kill all non-believers.” Once their numbers begin to dominate, they enclave their power and their Sharia Law. It’s happening in Detroit, Minneapolis, NYC, Miami, LA, and many other cities. Just to give you an idea of their advancing power, in 1990, only 300 mosques in America! Today, 2,769 mosques dot the American landscape.
At the same time, Americans have become secular, but they’re not protecting their U.S. Constitution. Few have read it, and most don’t care. It harkens back to what Ben Franklin said when they asked him what kind of a government did the founding fathers create. He said, “A Constitutional Republic; if you can keep it.”
With Islam growing in numbers and power in Canada, Europe and America, they mean business; they mean Sharia Law; they mean the business of Allah. America’s decline and destruction creep ever closer to reality.
