Senator Chuck Grassley has a staff that understands the corruption in the federal agencies and works feverishly to get the bottom of some of the worst scandals affecting the nation’s ability to survive treasonous conduct by federal officials. In this context, John Solomon’s story about Grassley demanding to know why the FBI let a would-be Trump assassin into the U.S. “despite red flags” is required reading. Trump’s life continues to be in mortal danger.
Solomon is an objective reporter who lets readers draw their own conclusions. I drew my own conclusion after reading this story, concluding that the FBI, like the Secret Service, is going through a series of “security lapses” designed to get Republican presidential candidate Donald J. Trump killed before the November 5 election.
Once again, the open borders policy of the Biden Harris Administration is implicated in the scandal, as Grassley wonders how a Pakistani with ties to Iran, Asif Raza Merchant, was allowed to enter the United States, to plot to kill Trump.
Grassley’s letter is worded carefully but we have no reason to be cautious in our own conclusions, as we have seen enough over the last three years of callous indifference to the security and safety of the American people. Our fellow citizens have become sitting ducks for terrorists and gang members coming into the United States, with Trump now clearly in the “bullseye,” as Biden once put it.
Solomon described the situation this way: “The FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force interviewed Merchant, fingerprinted him and inspected the contents of his electronic devices when he arrived at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, but then let him leave with the special parole that expired on May 11, the [government] memos state.”
The “special” status consisted of being a “Lookout Qualified Person of Interest” who was, nevertheless, granted “Significant Public Benefit Parole” by the Department of Homeland Security.
If this sounds fishy to you, it is worse than that.
As soon as he was let into the country, Merchant “began recruiting individuals to carry out his assassination plot,” the Grassley letter says.
Some might say the FBI was setting him up, hoping he would fall into a trap before completing his plot to pay people to kill Trump. That is probably what defenders of the FBI would say.
To an objective observer, this looks like the FBI allowed him into the United States for the specific purpose of killing Trump
How many of these killers are on the loose, ready to strike at a moment’s notice?
Something went wrong along the way for Merchant. Perhaps this would-be assassin was too sloppy. Perhaps he made too many mistakes. In any event, he was later apprehended.
But why was he allowed into the U.S. in the first place, and are there other such cases ongoing?
Is Trump supposed to count on the goodwill of the FBI to save his life?
If the FBI is waiting for these would-be assassins to carry out their plots, it is a strange way of doing business that risks the life of the former president of the United States and current Republican presidential candidate. Perhaps that is the plan.
We are told that Asif Merchant, 46, “faces a single count of murder for hire after prosecutors say he paid $5,000 to an undercover FBI agent he believed was a hit man…”
This fact adds fuel to the theory that the other would-be assassin, Crooks, was also hired and paid. That explains his overseas accounts.
But Crooks, after he was shot and killed on July 13, wasn’t able to get his hands on the foreign funds he was undoubtedly hoping to collect in his overseas accounts.
Like Merchant, Crooks was probably hired by the Iranians.
I suspect there are other “hitmen” out there. There is no other rational conclusion to make, considering how we have been treated to endless claims of “security failures” on July 13.
The complaint and affidavit says: Since at least April 2024, MERCHANT orchestrated a plot to assassinate U.S. government officials on U.S. soil. After spending time in Iran, MERCHANT flew from Pakistan to the U.S. to recruit individuals in the U.S. to carry out his scheme. While in the U.S., MERCHANT contacted a person he believed could assist him with the criminal scheme.
Media coverage is designed to create the impression that federal agencies are really on top of this dangerous situation
“A law enforcement official told NBC News that Merchant’s plot, first detected in April, was one of the factors that led the Secret Service to bolster security around Trump,” NBC said.
Bolstered security? That’s a joke. No, it’s worse than that. It’s a blatant lie.
CBS reported: “Although the timing of the charges coincides with the July 13 assassination attempt against Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, there is no indication that Merchants plan of attack is at all related to that shooting.”
Nonsense. He was arrested on July 12, one day before the “security failures” left Trump open to the assassination.
Perhaps this arrest was made with the knowledge that another would-be assassin, Crooks, would get the job done.
And don’t tell me that federal agencies don’t kill people. Trump supporter Ashli Babbitt was murdered on January 6, 2021, by a member of the Capitol Police, another federal law enforcement agency.
To this day, the FBI continues to track down and arrest trespassers from that day.
But if you’re a hitman from Iran, you’re treated differently.
The inescapable conclusion is that the Secret Service and the FBI, like Iran, want Trump dead.
I repeat my request to President Trump: He should pause his campaign and deliver a national address to the American people explaining that not only is his life in danger but that the American system of government is being subverted by powerful domestic and global forces that want to install Kamala Harris in the White House.
