We don’t get a lot of responses from liberals, largely due to the fact that our articles tend to reach mostly into the conservative world. But every now and then we get some whoppers from the other side. Evidently, a Bernie Sanders’ fan posted our last article entitled, “One Day You May Have To Pick Up A Sword” on Twitter. A senior-citizen female Bernie fan could not contain herself and had to take us on. She says she is related to President Lincoln but if it’s true, Lincoln must be rolling over in his grave right now. You will see from her comments that this is the mindless (non-thinking) idiocy we’re up against that permeates a huge percentage of the American body politic where logic, intellect and common sense, much less Constitutional principles, are absent without leave.
She starts out with:
“I write in response to your recent article online, which was posted on Twitter by a Bernie supporter. Are you aware that threatening fellow citizens in public and in print by suggesting armed conflict represents a serious domestic threat? I doubt you truly believe this is the solution to our nation’s collective problems.”
“In brief, you are inciting anger in the wrong direction. Those of us supporting Bernie Sanders are not threatening you or those who may align with you. We are fighting for social, environmental and financial equality and justice for everyone who is not in the 1%.” (Bernie Sander’s policies are a direct threat to individual freedom and free choice and Bernie Sanders is rich by any standard.)
Perhaps she thinks we’re part of the 1%.
But she goes on:
“The wealth inequality gap has never been this extreme at any other time in our nation’s history, not even in Lincoln’s (to whom, by the way, my ancestors were related). That concentration of power and influence over our system is the true threat to any of us in the 99%.” (Is she really worried about the wage gap, or blindly accepting Democratic class warfare propaganda? So what if corporate captains receive huge salaries. There aren’t that many of them. And what about the multi-million dollar salaries of professional sports players? Why do they deserve such high salaries? Because that is the free market.)
“Nobody is advocating that we replace free markets with “socialism”. Bernie’s platform is a continuation of the democratic populist style of social and political reforms implemented under FDR, including a proposed implementation of FDR’s Economic Bill of Rights.” (FDR’s Economic Bill of Rights were and are unconstitutional)
“Nobody is advocating that we replace free markets with socialism?????” Bernie is an avowed socialist and FDR was the second or third dictator of America that took us neck deep into socialism. We’ve written many words on FDR and his New Deal, Economic Bill of Rights, Social Security, attempts to pack the Supreme Court, interning Japanese Americans, using the IRS and the FBI to go after his political enemies and using a private surrogate (Harry L. Hopkins) to influence foreign policy, outside of the State Department. The Constitution meant nothing to FDR and he worked hard to get around it, or add to it without an Amendment.
The Democrats have delivered on FDR’s traitorous economic Bill of Rights and New Deal programs. They have served up to the American people a platter of abject socialism and now, radical environmentalism. The American people have been bought, sold and conquered on the promises and propaganda of Democrats who have raided the public treasury for the sole purpose of buying votes to remain in power ….. by any means. They have accomplished this takeover with a guttural mindset that bears no relation to constitutional principles. They have appealed to the weakness in men that buy into the hype, propaganda, lies and distortions of these con men in order to receive these so-called “free” benefits from their government that bears no relation to their labors.
But the Bernie babe’s utterances get better, or worse depending on your perspective:
“Bernie’s proposals will safeguard Social Security and Medicare, by raising the cap and the top marginal tax rate as well as a progressive tax on billionaires with net worth of over $32 billion, and by extending Medicare-for-All (MFA) with a slight and progressive increase in payroll tax for incomes over $29,000.” (That’s taxing the lower and middle classes for MFA they said they wouldn’t do. Notice her use of the word “Progressive.” Her Progressive change is people like her in control and the rest of us in chains.)
Evidently our Bernie fan is not aware that a wealth tax is unconstitutional for the same reason that the Income Tax was unconstitutional. But then who needs a stodgy old Constitution in Bernie’s fantasy world?
“Medicare-For-All alone will save an estimated $2 trillion nationwide per the conservative Mercatus Institute, and an average of $4,000 per household, while eliminating premiums, co-payments and deductibles and limiting out of pocket prescription drug costs to $200 annually.” (a Democrat pipe dream and just another lie.)
Perhaps we should refresh her memory about the Democrat’s great promises of Obama Care. You can keep your doctor and your plan and you will save $2,500.00 per year, all of which turned out to be fabrications (lies) to sell (con) us into accepting Obama Care. Tens of millions of Americans lost their doctor and their plan and their premiums doubled. Remember, not a single Republican voted for Obama Care and Chief Justice John Roberts joined the liberals on the high court to uphold Obama Care when it was flagrantly unconstitutional. Under Medicare For All 180,000,000 Americans would lose their private health insurance. That alone should start a civil war.
Trusting projections for massive government projects and programs has turned out to be a fool’s folly. Any American that believes these estimated numbers (including Bernie’s) has his or her head where the Sun doesn’t shine. Every single government construction project or social program goes into huge cost overruns by many factors. Look up the Boston Big Dig. Its cost overrun was 190%. Seattle’s Sound Transit is headed in the same direction and is already experiencing huge cost overruns. Obama Care by itself has experienced huge cost overruns. The taxpayers are lied to and get screwed when it all flushes out. What do politicians care? It’s not their billions being wasted. What do they care about high health care premiums, co-pays and deductibles?
Now our Bernie fan gets into the real meat of Bernie’s “everything-is-free” proposals, along with the Green ‘Stupid’ Deal that will allegedly save the planet from man, based on a fraud.
“Other proposals such as free public college and university tuition, eliminating student debt and existing medical debt, a Green New Deal and a Federal Jobs Guarantee will ensure continued growth of the economy and employment and business opportunities for our nation’s youth.” (She and Bernie are living in an up side down Alice in Wonderland)
“Continued growth of the economy????” Who is kidding whom? Anyone with any intellect at all knows it will kill the economy and send us back to pioneer days with outhouses. It’s just another Democrat lie to buy votes from stupid, uninformed people, like our Bernie fan.
“These and other reforms will be funded by increased taxes on corporations, a Tobin tax on Wall Street speculation, cutting the bloated defense budget, and by rescinding subsidies including to the fossil fuel industry in order to help promote green alternatives to help protect our planet against further climate change crises.” (Climate change is an unmitigated fraud on the American people and reducing the defense budget will only make us more vulnerable to the other super powers.) Trump reduced the taxes on foreign held cash by American companies and the cash flowed back into the United States economy in the billions of dollars. Apple’s overseas cash amounted to $252.3 billion upon which Apple paid $38 billion (15%) in federal taxes when it was repatriated. Increase taxes on corporations and that money will flow back overseas again. Evidently, Bernie didn’t take economics 101.
The lady closes with:
“Please consider closely Bernie’s proposals as presented on berniesanders.com and feelthebern.org. If you have questions I will try my best to answer them. We on Bernie’s team have a slogan, “NotMeUS”. It is an inclusive message and we invite all Americans to join in solidarity in creating a better future.”
A “better future”, ” inclusive?” Hardly! The socialist Democrats will be in control at the top with you as their slave at the bottom. What planet do these people live on?
Now Bernie Sanders isn’t the only Democrat Presidential candidate that thinks this way. All of the current Democrat candidate’s policy proposals are so far a-field of reality one wonders if any one of the candidates is dealing with a full deck.
For years people and experts alike ask the question, what goes through the mind of a school shooter? What kind of evil deviancy caused the Las Vegas sniper to kill 58 people and wound 413 more in 10 minutes? The answers are fleeting at best.
But given how America was created in freedom and liberty, how is it that tens of millions of Americans buy into the insane policies of Democrats? We may never know what goes through the mind of a mass shooter. But determining what goes through the mind of people who vote Democrat is a little less problematic. They want something for free and the Democrats will steal our money to give it to them ….. for their vote.
Progressives learned over 100 years ago, that they could use the money in the public treasury and the promise of extraordinary benefits to buy off stupid people for their votes. Obama Care, Medicare-For-All, free college tuition, canceling student loan and medical debt, open borders and eliminating ICE, a federal jobs guarantee, $1,000 per month for every person in America, free medical care for illegal aliens and allowing convicted felons to vote while in jail, are just more Progressive, very expensive, budget-breaking buy offs for votes. Sadly, being weak, the people fall for it every time and that is why socialism has gained strength in America. Since our public schools and colleges don’t teach students about our fundamental, natural, God-given rights under a Constitutional Republic, is it any wonder they fall for it?
In addition to the above insanity, in 1913 the socialist Democrats gave us the Federal Reserve and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) via the 16th Amendment. The private Federal Reserve is neither Federal much less a reserve and the Internal Revenue code was and is an unconstitutional fraud on the American people. The 16th Amendment indentured every single American as collateral for America’s debt that now stands somewhere around $70,000 per man, woman and child, on top of all their other debt.
Every socialist policy created by Democrats for votes dismisses, demeans and outright ignores the fundamental, natural, God-given rights of American citizens under our Constitutional Republic. They ignore free choice and replace it with government mandates, government control and a crushing tax load on the American people.
If the Bernie’s and the Bernie Babes of the World succeed, the phrase, “We May Have To Pick Up A Sword” will have to be changed to “We Will Have To Pick Up A Sword“, which will lead us headlong into civil war.
