It’s getting old quickly. The rural rubes – especially, used to say that New York City is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn’t want to live there. That was then; this is now, and no self-respecting American would want to either visit or live in New York anymore. The decay and degradation brought on by continuous Democrat rule has become all-encompassing at this point. The concept of the “sanctuary city” greatly intensified a migrant invasion from the four corners of the earth that reached an apex during the Biden administration, facilitating all manner of lawlessness in a civic and cultural breakdown. Not that the ongoing “mud” flow wasn’t something to be concerned about earlier, but during the Biden administration, the floodgates fully opened and the polluted waters rushed in unabated – a slurry slop covering and coloring everything it touched. Hundreds of thousands or, more likely, millions of illegal invaders accelerated the ongoing cultural transformation of an iconic American City, indeed, New York was our nation’s first capital. During this catastrophe, New York became a circus of confusion, entitlement, aggression, hostility and chaos, promoting and concentrating the worst of these third world behaviors in Gotham.

Of course, this disaster was both founded and funded by the UN and our own State Department, together with globally oriented NGOs, and varied other assorted libber-loons. Waves of the unwashed were either encouraged or actually recruited by our leftist overlords to arrive upon our shores and, like a hungry tick, take up residence among us battening upon our largesse. But, alas, when the flow reached a critical level, we were all washed up both figuratively and literally. Until the mid-20th century, immigrants arrived in small waves representing a spectrum of people from the underprivileged and those afflicted by disasters in their own nations to the highly adventurous seeking to make their mark in the land of opportunity. But in each category, those who arrived fully intended to become “Americans” and be assimilated into this country! If this was not the fate of the original population, then at least their descendants achieved this status. National origins were remembered and honored, but each and every group worked diligently to become members of America’s supposed “melting pot.” Today, however, assimilation has long since gone by the boards as the motivation for the present immigration program of the uber-privileged became the destruction of the West and all it stands for, a matter given the very accurate name of “the Great Replacement!”

As a result, today we have an assemblage of strange-looking strangers as we are reap the supposed benefits of undiminished diversity, a program that received its impetus in 1965 when the elite powers-that-be deliberately changed the racial and cultural composition of new immigrants from (mostly) European to non-Europeans including the unlearned peons of the third world. The only exceptions in this mass movement were a small number of tech wizards from India and China. As to specifics: in the third decade of the 21st century, over 210,000 migrants have arrived in New York City, many hailing from hells in Latin America and the islands of the Caribbean (especially the volatile hell hole that is Haiti), as well as a significant number from Asia and African countries, many of the former are Chinese and, apparently, of military age and appearance. Meanwhile, a bevy of New York City officials, advocacy groups, school communities and non-profits have mobilized to “welcome” and (attempt to) organize this ongoing flood of “refugees” by providing billions of dollars for their every need and want. Of course, this meant that the needs and wants of the native New Yorkers go wanting.

After the invasion began, over a 3-year period, Mayor Eric Adams went overboard attempting to provide 200 emergency shelter sites! However, when spaces for such facilities ran out, luxury hotels were seized to provide supplemental shelter. This resulted in the insane situation in which virtual paupers were living in rooms whose normal rates normally ran to $200 a day or more! Meanwhile, tens of thousands of migrant children have been enrolled in public schools that cannot provide them with an education for reasons ranging from their personal situations and inability to speak, read or write English to the fact that there is no room to house them in any educational setting.

New York’s mayor has sought and fought for additional funding from both the State and the FedGov for essential services, but no such funds are available. Remember, New York is only one “sanctuary city!” The damned country is full of them! Of course, the entire “sanctuary” project became untenable and unbearable early on, and the mayor tried plugging his interior border by suing bus companies in an effort to stop them sending busloads of their charges to the “Big Apple.” At one point (in desperation), the Mayor himself sent busloads of freeloaders to the Canadian border to a known location where they could easily “escape” into Canada. Of course, Canada has been even more eager to import and welcome migrants than we have been – if that were possible! In a purely economic consideration, it is gut-wrenching to consider the costs involved in this entire catastrophe, so I’ll spare you those facts that would give you heartburn that no number of Tums could alleviate!

President Trump helped crystalize the enormity of this tragedy, a matter that even many liberals are beginning to discern. Trump explained that America was undergoing an invasion that was intended to upset the cultural applecart and sink the ship of state; that is, this invasion had nothing to do with bettering the fate of our fellow man. Apparently, the present “about face” in public policy since Election Day has been welcomed by a majority of Americans with even some intelligent Democrats being happy that some of the large and illegal largesse is being terminated. Up until only a year ago, opposition to the invasion was considered a “marginalized right-wing” viewpoint, but now the blindfold has been removed and this mass “invasion” by known enemies of this nation and the West has become a common perception – and not only in the US, but throughout the West. The bottom line is that now it is not considered racist or ethnocentric to passionately object to this warfare by migration.

When you import people in large numbers, you also import their cultures and ways of thinking and doing, matters that, frequently, are different than and frequently contrary to our own. We need to face the fact that freedom, the rule of law, domestic tranquility, and high levels of civic functioning that characterize Western nations are great achievements and not accidents of history! Therefore, we must stop being shy about or ashamed of these blessings and not be afraid to openly declare both our support and defense of these virtues.
