Part 1: If It’s Broken: Raise the Hood and Fix It

In the past 50 years of my adult life, I have not seen such a collective of incompetence as witnessed by 535 U.S. Congressional representatives in Washington DC.  They see crises after crisis boiling within the United States but refuse to fix the problems.  Instead of representing the American people, they abet foreign interests, corporate interests, banking interests and illegal interests.  They pander, pimp and excuse themselves by blaming the other side for everything that needs to be corrected in this country.  But they never fix the problems.  That’s why we American citizens find ourselves in one hell of a mess.

When I grew up, I drove a 1953 Chevy station wagon.  Six cylinders, one barrel carb and three on the column.  No seat belts or headrest. It worked most of the time, but once in a while, the engine broke down.

My dad said, “If it’s broken, raise the hood and fix it.”

If you, in your own home, discover the lawn sprinkler doesn’t work, you fix it.  Or, you buy a new one.  But you do what you have to do to make it work.    If your garbage disposal breaks, you fix it or replace it.  If you suffer a flat tire on your car, you replace it with a spare and immediately repair the spare, so it will be ready for the next flat tire.

Why can’t 535 highly educated, intelligent, elected reps—introduce bills to fix the problems?  Excepting the three new house members Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Ihan Omar (D-MN), and forever members, Maxine Waters (D-CA), Hank Johnson(D-GA), John Lewis (D-GA) and Sheila Jackson (D-CA).  I would add inane stalwarts like U.S. Senators Charles Schumer (D-NY), Diane Feinstein (D-CA), Michael Bennet (D-CO) and Cory Gardner (R-CO).  They flat out don’t or won’t work for Americans.

With the latest election of those intellectually challenged individuals in the House, it shows a downward spiral in the ability of our U.S. Congress to actually solve the problems facing America.   For example, Cortez thinks the three branches of our U.S. government equal to: presidency, House and Senate.  I would stake my life on the fact that Cortez,  Tlaib and Omar have not read the U.S. Constitution.

That shows you how uneducated, if not downright stupid the constituents who voted those people into Congress.

House member Hank Johnson thinks that if we place too many ships and personnel on one side of the island of Guam, the entire island faces tilting over into the ocean.  It’s actually on video when he spoke in the House.  I saw it.   Then, last week, this intellectually challenged man compared Trump to Hitler.  I think Forrest Gump’s box of chocolates proved smarter than Hank Johnson.  In Johnson’s tenure as a House member, he has done absolutely nothing to serve his mostly black constituents.  Yet, his constituents elect him term after term.  I think Johnson’s intellectual capacity equates to a box of chocolates.

House member Maxine Waters owns the biggest mouth in Washington DC, but nothing intelligent ever issues from her lips.  She rants, raves and wants to “impeach 45” in all her speeches.  She calls for violence against elected officials. She supports Sharia Law. She said in an interview last year that we were fighting the Korean War.  I seriously don’t think she could pass an 8th grade math, science, biology or history test.

Now, we face 20-something Alexandria Cortez from New York who won on good looks, toothy smile and total incompetency as to any understanding of the Constitution.  She calls for a tax at 70 percent of income to equal the playing field. She mandates free health care for all and socialism, which would put us on the road to becoming another Venezuela.  CNN and other news services interview her as if she possesses any intelligence, but scratch their heads at her ‘air-head’ responses.

Let’s examine House member John Lewis, a civil rights advocate, who has remained in DC for over 35 years. In that time, he’s used the word ‘racist’ to describe just about everyone he doesn’t like—BUT, he’s never introduced a bill or done anything to aid, assist, create jobs or educate African-Americans.  He’s a figure-head, a symbol and totally incompetent.

And, now, we face the first of many Moslems becoming fixtures in the U.S. House and soon to be in the U.S. Senate.  These people, not of our country, not of our culture, not of our language, not of our religion and not of anything that has to do with being an American—took their oaths of office on the Quran.  Reality check: the Quran mandates to all its followers to: “Convert or kill all non-believers.”

The New York Times quoted new House member Rashida Tlaib as saying, “People love you and you win,” Ms. Tlaib told the crowd. “And when your son looks at you and says: ‘Momma, look, you won. Bullies don’t win.’ And I said, ‘Baby, they don’t.’ Because we’re going to go in there, and we’re going to impeach the mother******.” (referring to President Trump)  It is incomprehensible that a mother would talk that way under any circumstances but to say it to her son is beyond shocking.

Exactly how will those two Moslem members do anything to further America, when they are mandated to install Sharia Law, work for Islam and promote soft jihad within the United States?  This quote says it all and speaks to what’s coming:

“Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any faith, but to become dominant. The Qur’an should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.” Omar Ahmed, director of Council on American Islamic Relations.

As a society and as a civilization, we stand eye-ball deep in trouble. But our leaders continue kicking the can down the road.  It’s going to cost us our culture, language, cohesiveness and country.  It’s going to cost us dearly.  And yet, I don’t see anyone speaking up and trying to save our country at the local or state levels.  And for certain, those 535 critters in Washington DC will keep us rolling down a very destructive path as to debt, endless wars, immigration, environment, overpopulation and the list drums onward.

In Part 2 of this series, I will speak to what needs fixing.  It’s simple, yet, those folks in DC who are supposed to fix our problems—don’t and won’t.  One of my readers came up to me last week in the recreation center where I work out, “Frosty, I read your stuff and it makes so much sense.  But it makes my head explode because those people in Washington DC won’t do squat to help the American people.”
