It’s Not Going to Church But Being the Church

Jesus said in Matthew 16:18 that He would build His Ekklesia and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it. The church in America has lost the way of Jesus Christ while using the Name of Jesus. Because we are not being obedient and we are not embracing the Ekklesia Jesus built, our religious systems in America are ineffective and will continue to implode.

The Ekklesia that Jesus built is shown to us in the Book of Acts. They had no church building; they were the temple of God and the Holy Spiri dwelt in them. Their ministry was not inside a building but out in the culture and nations where the people were. They turned the Roman World upside down with the gospel of the Kingdom and this Ekklesia worked until Constantine destroyed it in the Third Century. We are still operating out of that religious system of Constantine today.

Let us not put too much emphasis on past history but on what are the followers of Jesus Christ in America are going to do today to get back to obedience of the LORD Jesus Christ and allow Him to build His Ekklesia in America. However, if we continue church as usual, we shall continue to implode and our nation will continue under the judgment of God until we change our ways or complete destruction of America happens.

If we will repent of our wicked religious ways, I believe we can assume that God will once again bless us and we will recover if we will work hard at our transformation of character and go into our neighborhoods and culture and present the gospel of the Kingdom. But let us beware of the radical change and transformation that must take place in all of us to be an effective Ekklesia like the disciples in the First Century. Transformation can best be described in Romans 12:2, “And do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” As you read the Word of God and act on it, your mind (that is your thinking and your character) will be transformed.

The mandate of Jesus is still valid today. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

Is this not what the demonic New World Order Marxists did to change Americas? They went into our government, our schools, our media, our corporations, and every place of influence and made their disciples in the name of Satan and his demons, teaching them to obey and carry out the ways and schemes of Satan. They captured and changed our nation and if we don’t in the Name of Jesus Christ, make disciples of Christ and teach our disciples to observe and obey all that Jesus commanded, we don’t stand a change of getting this nation back!!! The question is: Will we make the radical change of transformation in character and obey and carry out the mandate of Jesus in our nation!!!

Did you ever wonder what it would be like to be in a church that is turning America upside down?

What would it be like for people to find Christ because hundreds of new Christians’ testimonies of radical transformation?

What would it be like to see the entire Body of Christ in America to be mobilized to touch people everywhere in all dimensions and not a church based on a single charismatic leader?

If we are willing to be broken and change our whole perception of what church is and what it really means to follow Christ, it could happen in America!!! We have learned to go to a building and listen to a sermon but not transformation of our character. We know so much of how, but so little of why. We want to change the world, and we become managers of organizations. We make people more religious but no different spiritually or culturally. We know what we believe but we cannot live it. We think we are respectable but we have lost credibility. We have become mass media market but not a movement to shake the world!!!

We don’t make a difference because the gospel has not made us different as God intended it to do. We are just more religious. We are more worried that our church is not growing than the fact that we are not growing in our walk with God. For all that has been lost in the Western church today, there is hope. There has never been a greater opportunity to see the transformation of people, society, and this nation but it will mean a radical redefinition of following Christ to impact this nation!!!

But we must have transformation. Our lives must show evidence we are changing our ways to His ways. If transformation stops after conversion, they weren’t converted. If it stops after instruction, according to Paul they get puffed up. They may be able to answer all kinds of Bible questions, understand theology, and even write inspirational books but they’ll never know Christ on an intimate level that leads to true transformation. Only the person who converges the two – what they learn on a consistent daily basis with their lifestyle – has any hope of transformation.

Don’t be fooled by churches that are growing!!! Jesus wants quality and not quantity. In the Parable of the Sower in Matthew 13, Jesus had multitudes of people listening to His parables. But He left them at the seashore in their sins because they had ears but would not hear and eyes that refused to see and their hearts were far from Him because all they wanted from Him was healing and free stuff not willing to know the mystery of the Kingdom.

Jesus has not changed. He still desires obedience, commitment, submissiveness, faithfulness, and allegiance. You must love the LORD Jesus with all your heart, body, and soul and to love your neighbor as yourself. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Folks, you miss the Kingdom, you miss Jesus. In Acts 15, you must abide in Jesus and His Word for without Him you can do nothing. In Mathew 7, when you hear the Word and act on it, when the storms of life come you will not fall.

I cannot tell you what you should do to be a faithful and obedient servant of Jesus Christ. You have to listen to the Holy Spirit and He will guide you. I have already told you what the Word and Holy Spirit said for me to do, but you must get before Jesus in an intimate relationship and interact with Him. Hosea 4:6, says My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. Our nation is being destroyed because the pastors and Body of Christ does not know the knowledge of the Word of God and we do not know the knowledge of our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Our destruction is before us and we just ignore it!!!!

The Bible says we are Ambassadors of Christ in His kingdom. We have ambassadors we send to other nation representing the United States. They have no opinion or private interpretation but only what the official policy of America is. As a Christian, God is sovereign. What He says is law. We have no opinions or private interpretations. When asked what is our opinion of homosexuality, we are to answer that we have no opinion but our God says, “it is an abomination.”

Folks, if you are going to serve Jesus Christ and be an influence to the nations, you must obey the Word of God. We are to love our wives as much as Christ loves the Church and our wives are to honor their husbands. We are to raise our children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord and we are to equip them and prepare them for what they will face in our culture. If you send your children to public schools and universities, you better well know what they are being taught because God will hold you responsible.

We are to be teachable, willing to change our ways, and humble. We are not to love this world or this world system. James says you make yourself an enemy of God if you love this world. All this is in the Word of God and as you read the Word of God everyday in abiding in Christ, you will come across these Scriptures and the ones that jump out on the page to you, then you take note of it and obey it.

Folks, we are in a war for the sole of this nation. We will one day stand before God and give an account for what we did with the things of God given to us. We are in a war against our flesh which must die but God has given us the weapons in 2 Corinthians 10:3 and Ephesians 6 to fight this war. But we are not fighting this war in our nation. The church is sound asleep and as a result, evil has captured our nation and we have become a habitation of demons. We tolerate evil and God will not hold us guiltless. “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil.” If we don’t repent and embrace the true Ekklesia and allow Jesus to build His church in America, what we are facing in pain and suffering will be horrific. We have no one to blame but ourselves!!!

Don’t you realize we have been lied to for decades now by our church leaders and seminaries. We are led to believe that following Jesus and sharing the gospel in our culture is some kind of fun event. But Jesus said if you are going to follow Him, count the cost, take up your cross and follow Him. He tells us exactly what to expect – “Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are you when men cast insults at you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, on account of Me. Rejoice and be glad for your reward in heaven is great for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” (Matthew 5:10)

“Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, therefore be shrewd as serpents, and innocent as doves. Beware of men; for they will deliver you up to the courts and scourge you in their synagogues, and you shall even be brought before governors and kings for My sake as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. (Matthew 10:16-18)

“The Kings of the earth take their stand, and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and His anointed.” (Psalms 2:2.) “For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.” (Jude 4)

Look at the spiritual mess we are in. Surely, we have had enough of man’s way. It is time we humble ourselves and repent of our way and embrace His Way!!!!!
