Three-minute remarks by Peter Falkenberg Brown at the Topsham, Maine School Board Meeting on September 28, 2023, at Mount Ararat High School. Under debate were trans and gender directives that some parents opposed.

My name is Peter Brown. I’m from Gray. I’m speaking as a surrogate for my friends in Harpswell, who asked me to speak.

I believe that this is really a civilizational issue about children. Are parents going to be the ones raising their children, or is the state? Should the state be in charge of humanity’s children? I believe it should not.
