On June 8, 1966 the most destructive tornado in the history of America (up until that point) struck Topeka, Kansas.  [Details here.]  I wasn’t alive then, and I didn’t grow up in Topeka.  I grew up on a farm in a county south of Topeka.  When I actually moved to Topeka in my adult years, I began hearing stories about the deadly tornado that ripped a 22-mile path, including through the center of Topeka destroying much of the college known as Washburn University.

As stories go among the locals, I began to hear about a pastor who prophesied the coming tornado before it happened.  He is well known in Topeka, and in fact many places for his faithful work unto God and in serving across the world.  I was intrigued, but I only knew of the man.  We did not run in the same circles.

A couple weeks ago I was thinking about that story and I told God that if I were to see Max Manning (the pastor who prophesied the destruction), I was going to ask him my question.  (Max would be 95 years old at this point today.)  Less than two days later Bill and I were at a diner we don’t frequent, and I turned the corner and there was Max Manning, sitting alone.  I introduced myself and asked him if I could ask him about the 1966 event.

Max told me he was preaching Sunday, May 29 to his congregation.  He said as he was giving his message, the Spirit fell upon him and in the midst of the message he said, “Thus says the Lord, in ten days destruction will hit your city.”  He said it startled him greatly as he had never had such a thing happen to him before.  Max said he stopped abruptly, lowered his head and prayed, saying to God, “what is this, God?  I didn’t say this, where is this coming from?”  He then raised his head to continue his sermon and the same words came out of his mouth, startling him.  “Thus says the Lord, in ten days destruction will hit your city.”  Twice the warning was issued.

Max told me that he and his wife left town on the ninth day to visit some people in the southern part of the state.  The next day when they turned the radio on, they heard of the F5 half-mile wide tornado in Topeka.  Up until that point he did not know how the “destruction” would manifest.

I was then able to ask him my question, “Did God tell you why?”  He seemed intrigued by my question.  I reworded, “Did God ever tell you why the destruction was coming to Topeka?”  In my mind, destruction of such a nature can be a judgment for a breach or sin.  Local rumors said Topeka was cursed for building houses on an old Indian burial site (Burnett’s mound).  Others said it was representative for Washburn University adopting the “Ichabod” mascot.  (Ichabod means “the glory of God has departed” and incidentally though, Topeka, Kansas is also the home of the Stone Street Revival that led to the Azusa Street Revival.)  I hadn’t heard from the Lord if there was truth in either of those rumors, but I did wonder if the man who gave the city a ten day warning was also told the reason of the destruction.

Max smiled at me and shook his head.  “No,” he said, “He never told me why.”  “Do you know now?”  I asked him.  He smiled and shook his head and said, “No, I still don’t know why.”

Seventeen people died in the path of that tornado in Topeka, and another 550 were injured, not to mention the costliest damages to date in its history.  The tornado took 26 minutes to pass through the city.  I wonder what the numbers would have been if the whole city had heeded the warning?

The Coming Solar Eclipse

On April 8, a solar eclipse will make its way across America six years, six months, six weeks and six days from the date of the last solar eclipse that swathed a path across America.  The place the eclipses’ paths intersect is called “Little Egypt” in southern Illinois.

Two of the seven “Nineveh” American cities are in the direct path of the eclipse, while the other five are clustered around it.  The 2017 solar eclipse passed through seven American cities called “Salem” (a derivative of Jerusalem).

The anomalies are worth paying attention to.  Of course the obvious question of — is God warning America to repent? — is at the foremost of a lot of minds.  I think the obvious answer is yes, but I also think that cry for repentance has been heralded for a few decades now.  Is this the undeniable last warning and call?

The intersection of the two eclipses being at Little Egypt says a lot by itself.  Egypt, of course, is representative of idolatry – of which America has become a land full of.  More telling than that is the particular “gods” mainstream America has adopted.

Mainstream America is woefully ignorant of the systems the powers that be have put into place that revolve a great deal around their worship systems.  Just in the last week they applauded themselves and awarded little trophies mimicking the Egyptian creator God “Sokar” (another name for Ptah), and which they named a clever anagram of in Oscar…

It’s a common belief that the signs in the heavens (skies) are orchestrated by God to speak directly to those paying attention in a manner man cannot create or manipulate.  History is replete with sun and moon and star signs, the most obvious being the star marking Christ’s entry.  If anything, it would behoove the children of God to consider and pray about what God may (or may not) be saying.

We haven’t even touched on all the other precipices we’re dangling from…

Eye witness accounts of invading mercenaries through our defenseless border describe terrorists on the FBI terrorist lists, murderers, rapists, traffickers, Chinese secret police, Middle Eastern terrorists who had the boldness to tell the video journalist, “You don’t know who I am?  You will.”… Countless more have been videoed coming across with full military style weaponry and body armor.  And the one that makes my blood boil, people they say who have been sent by the U.N.  These people have been given money and addresses to head to.  This aren’t the huddled, tired masses.  This is an invasion of mercenaries with marching orders waiting for the “go” signal.

The economy is long overdue for collapse.  Inflation is stealing from the middle class at alarming rates.  People have never been more in debt in America, and America itself has never been more in debt.  Real estate is not affordable for the average family anymore, and exorbitant taxes are sucking Americans dry.  It’s cheaper for our family to eat at a restaurant than a fast food restaurant in our city.

Since the covid vaccine (mRNA gene therapy) was mandated, heart disease, strokes, cancers and miscarriages have escalated at alarming rates.  The American working force is being whittled down from increasing disabilities.  And overall deaths are increasing disproportionately, especially in the young.

Threats of new viruses (Virus “X”) are talked about like it’s a foregone conclusion.  Almost all of our food is genetically modified, laden with chemicals and artificial ingredients, and/or outsourced out of the country.  Eating healthy is a full time job just figuring out.

Violent crime is escalating.  The law abiding citizen is shunned justice and the criminals are let free.

Oh there are plenty of threats in and to America.

Solutions exist…

We’re not at a loss for solutions, it’s just that the System won’t allow them.  The powers that be need us broken to accomplish their objectives.

I travel a lot, and there is not a city I have been in (large or small) that doesn’t have ample abandoned homes and buildings.  Some of those empty buildings are absolutely beautiful.  With all the money the government (federal, state, local) wastes on nonsense, they could just as easily put it toward helping restore abandoned homes.  Malls are quickly becoming a thing of the past.  Imagine converting them into housing complexes with small businesses interspersed that produce and provide a variety of needs locally sourced.

Imagine if the cities created incentives to rebuild broken neighborhoods and establish community food sources.  There are fantastic underground greenhouses that enable even the coldest climates to produce tropical fruits and a variety of vegetation.  There’s a compelling book called Holy Shit that expounds on the issues of animal waste and vegetation fertilizer.  We have everything we need for everything we need right in front of our faces.  They’ve just industrialized our society and put our dependence on corporations instead of local sources.  It’s always about money and control.

Every neighborhood in America could provide for the needs of their neighborhood.  It’s not unimaginable.  The local high schools, community colleges and tech schools could make affordable services for the community in exchange for much needed internships and experience.

Energy sourcing is another thing they lie about and keep us in the dark about.  Every alternative energy source from harvesting energy from the ionosphere to water powered cars has been buried and the inventors paid off or killed.  Look into “earthship” homes to see practically self-sustaining homes that don’t even need public utilities.

Oh there are solutions.

We don’t have a lack of space, a lack of opportunity, a lack of housing.  We have deliberate dependence on a broken system and an intentional repression of ideas that actually work.

Corey’s Digs does a fantastic series called The Solution Series that covers just about everything you could think of for freeing oneself from the tentacles of corporate and bureaucratic America.  Check it out (yes there’s a small fee, but the sheer volume of information is worth it).

So about those storms….

Yeah, we have some hard things in America right now, and the crystal ball looks like even harder things are coming.  But we are not powerless.  They want us to think we are and they have an arsenal of schemes to make it appear so.  But we should never agree with the enemy.  Our job is to stand on what we know to be right and true, and only agree with God.

It’s like the 1966 tornado.  Was that sent by God for a particular purpose or judgment, or was it orchestrated from some arena of darkness?  Either way God warned the city.  And that’s what He wanted me to know as I was pondering the coming season of storms to hit America.  Some of the storms will be storms of judgment from Him, and some will be the chaos orchestrated from the dark players attempting to destroy America and its people.  Either way the Lord is faithful to warn His people, just like He sent Jonah to Nineveh.  We just have to be faithful to listen and respond as He shows us.  The Wise Men followed the star to Bethlehem (they were Spirit led), but were warned in a dream to travel home a different route (because the enemy countered).

Some storms we aren’t going to be able to be spared from.  There are some hard, hard things coming to America.  It will likely be a mixture.  Some hard things may be released for judgment for the unrighteousness in the land, while some other hard things may be the works of the enemy for our destruction.  Like the 1966 tornado, we may not know if the storm beating down on us at the time is sent from God or the enemy.  But ultimately the storm is either sent or allowed by God, and He is our only shelter.  We must be prepared to seek Him and heed His warnings.  We have to know if our response is repentance (judgment storm) where we put ourselves at the mercy of God, or faith (enemy-facilitated storm) where we take our stand against the works of the enemy.  If He warns us of coming destruction, our next response should be, “What do you want me to do?”

Daniel 11:32, my friends…. “the people who know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Another translation puts it this way, “the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action.”

If we posture ourselves correctly, the outcome is on the side of righteousness.  We just need to make sure that’s the side we’re on.
