Congress needs to wake up. They need to institute the 25th Amendment. We cannot keep fooling ourselves with a senile, decrepit, old man who no longer knows what’s going on in the world. I was a pretty damaged person in my early adulthood, (from some painful childhood experiences).  As I became an adult, the damage I carried prevented me from wholeness and health.  I knew it; I could feel it, but I couldn’t seem to get out of it.  I didn’t know how.  Damaged people damage people, and I knew that my reactions were damaging to those around me.

Just last week Google had to “pause” its AI Image Generation program—“pause” means “take it off-line”—while they tried to correct a wee “mistake” in the program. What mistake was that? Oh, nothing major. All they did was erase white people from history and make ‘em all black.

I’ve spoken repeatedly about the unconstitutionality of most mask mandates. Recently, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals was asked to review two cases where people were punished for attending school board meetings while refusing to wear masks. Sadly, the cases, as described in the Circuit Court opinion, seem poorly founded, thus leading to decisions against the plaintiffs.

Post Scriptum: a fairly recently published book, Dying For Freedom by Jim Downs addressed the fate of former slaves both during and after the Civil War. The book pointed to the failure of the “Union” States to care for newly freed slaves especially in an impoverished post-war South, causing more death and suffering than had happened when those same people were in fact enslaved.

By observing Washington’s Birthday as a National Holiday on his actual birth date, Feb. 22, the focus of the nation was on Washington. However, all that changed in 1971. Congress — pressured by federal government bureaucrats and other employees and their unions  desiring another paid three-day holiday — abolished “Washington’s Birthday” as a National Holiday.

This should be an interesting opinion to read. I wonder how many U.S. citizens have been captured by the No Fly List without any probable cause or due process? This is also not the first time a government has attempted to get away with illegal acts by changing things after the fact and calling the claims against them moot. All in all, it could be a very interesting opinion indeed.

I believe this new law, with its expanded definition of what constitutes trafficking, will add hundreds of additional inmates to Idaho’s prisons.  Because our prisons are already full and we are storing prisoners in other states, it will also add to the cost of transporting our inmates around the country.
