Gender Wars: Battle of Tennessee
Tennessee didn’t prohibit the use of puberty blockers or hormones to anyone, only to minors. This is important because in this country not only are minors unable to give consent, the state is expected to step in when a child is being harmed, even by their parents. It’s one of the few situations where the state can legitimately interfere with parental rights, when the health or safety of the child is at risk.
